The older you get the more important mobility an d flexibility become. We focus on specific exercises and movements to help you improve movements such as touching your toes, reaching overhead and getting up and down off the floor. All things we take for granted when we are younger but can become harder or impossible to do when you get old.
The older you get the faster you lose muscle mass. You MUST do resistance training to maintain. You can increase it as well. But there is a right way to do it and it is not by using heavy barbell, squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. You need to focus on unilateral (one side at a time) movements, reduce the weight to keep your joints healthy, and do varied movements in different plans. Most people never do side-to-side movements only front to back. That limits your ability to move well.
